Join Julie Lanford, “The Cancer Dietitian,” for this cook-along session where she will teach you some refreshing summer recipes!
- Tuesday June 7th ~ 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM Webinar – Dealing with “Fear of Recurrence” and “Scanxiety”!
Led by Lisa Rainwater, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Counselor, Lisa will discuss the stress and anxiety caused by these thoughts and how to manage these stressors.

These activities will be led by Hirsch Wellness Network. Experience Taiji/Qigong movement and restorative standing Meditation with Bill Savage; and learn Breathworks to increase alertness and reduce pain and anxiety with Beverly Vaughn.

NIGHT OUT AT THE DASH on Friday, June 10th!
Dash vs. Greensboro Grasshoppers! We hope you can make it out to our Cancer Survivors Night Out at the DASH baseball game on Friday, June 10th! You and one caregiver will be reserved a ticket at no charge. Please RSVP if you intend to come!
Survivors who RSVP will be reserved up to 2 tickets at no charge. Note that you are responsible to pay for any applicable parking fees.
Free parking is available at the Center City Garage on Fourth Street and a free shuttle runs from the Center City Garage to Truist Stadium. You can also choose to purchase parking passes for $5 ahead of time or $10 the day of the event.
Survivor gifts will be available at the gate at the DASH and our volunteers will be ready to distribute. If you are not able to attend the DASH game, you can still pick up a survivor gift pack at Cancer Services office starting Monday, June 13th.
2022 Patient Advocate Awards
21 Years ago, Cancer Services began recognizing individuals in our community who “do anything, anytime and in any way they can to make a positive difference in the lives of those living with cancer.” We are excited to announce the 2022 recipients.
