FRIDAY SURVIVORSHIP CONFERENCE
Ready, Set, Go! Navigating Your Cancer Journey Conference will be held on Friday, June 5th, 2026 from 8:15 am to 4:15 pm at the Intergenerational Center of Arts and Wellness.
This is a free, patient-led conference designed to unite the voices of patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, doctors, and advocates. There will be complimentary breakfast and lunch for all participants.

Survivors Day weekend includes a special treat this year. For a limited time, Cancer Services is gifting cancer survivors ONE ticket to attend the 10 Minute Play Festival, performed by 40+ Stage Company, a local W-S nonprofit! They will perform six, 10-minute plays written by North Carolina playwrights, on the theme of “survival”.

2026 Patient Advocate Awards
25 years ago, Cancer Services began recognizing individuals in our community who “do anything, anytime and in any way they can to make a positive difference in the lives of those living with cancer.” We are excited to announce the 2026 recipients in the coming weeks.
