This is located just off Interstate 40 and next to Novant Medical Center.
We are a club for laryngectomees, their families and caregivers. We not only offer support to each other, we offer information on living without voice. We know what kind of supplies you may need, and where to get them. These suppliers are in constant contact with our club to see what is needed and how they can meet those needs.
We also have several speech pathologists who are members of the club. These medical professionals help us learn to speak again. As “neck breathers”, we have unique medical issues. Learning to live with a stoma can be a challenge. We offer help in learning the correct way to take care of yourself after surgery. We know because we have “been there, done that”!
