Hello September! The first month of fall and football is here!
Soon we will be fishing out our jackets and sweaters from the closet. But before you go do that, check out our programs for this month! There’s a lot of events and programs prepared for you this season. Here is a sneak peak of our October programs, so put them on your calendar and register now!

22nd Annual Pink Ribbon Talks Breast Cancer Conference
Saturday, September 30th, 2023
Registration opens August 30th.

Thursdays September 7th – 28th at 7:00pm via Zoom.
A 4-week program designed to answer “What’s Next?” after cancer treatment.
This program helps survivors
– decrease worry and anxiety
– improve quality of life
– increase knowledge regarding physical, mental, and social health
Expert speakers include cancer rehabilitation exercise experts, a board-certified specialist in oncology nutrition, a licensed mental health professional, an oncologist and cancer survivors.

Art & Wellness In Real Life (IRL)
In Person on Monday 9/11 at 6pm
We will be in the studio at Sawtooth School, downtown W-S.
Topic: Glass Fusing or Metal Rings. We will confirm which class you prefer as we get closer to the evening!

Nutrition Webinar
Thursday September 14th at 3 pm ET
Join Julie as she shares grocery shopping tips and tricks to healthy living.

Move More. Stress Less.
Begins Monday, September 11th – Self Guided
An 8-week movement program you do from home! We email you a weekly wellness topic with an exercise video of the week, and you track your physical activity each week.
All movement counts, any ability level and any amount of time. This is about keeping you active, no matter where you are or what physical abilities you have.

Blood Cancer Seminar
Wednesday, September 20th at 12 noon IN PERSON!
The seminar will be located in-person at the Novant Health Cancer Institute located at 1010 Bethesda Ct, Winston Salem, 27103.
Topic: Update on Blood Cancers
Speaker is Dr. Frank Chen, medical oncologist with Novant Cancer Institute.
Lunch is provided. All blood cancer patients, survivors & caregivers are welcome!

Art and Wellness on Thursday, September 28th from 2-4pm, ( a VIRTUAL Program )
A wellness group focused on healing through art in partnership with the Sawtooth School for Visual Arts. Supplies will be available for pick up at Cancer Services the week before the class.

Healing Hands Programs help you relax and improve your stress. We have amazing volunteer practitioners who are available to schedule you for reiki, healing touch or facial. Just call our office to reserve your spot! (Note that we prioritize those who are in active treatment, or recently completed treatment).
