What’s going on this October?

As you may know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and we have a Special Art Event for Breast Cancer Patients, Survivors, and Thrivers! Check it out and register for it today!

We still have our regular Art and Wellness program, and this month you’ll be able to learn the art of basket weaving! But if your art is in the kitchen, join Cook to Thrive! Or get movin’ with Move More, Stress Less!

LESS RADICAL! A new podcast series brought to you by Stacy Wentworth, MD, cancer survivorship expert!

Dr. Wentworth launched a groundbreaking podcast series called Less Radical and the first of this six-part series was released a week ago!

The series will tell the remarkable and little-known story of Dr. Bernie Fisher, the surgeon-scientist who redefined breast cancer treatment and changed how we understand cancer itself.

Dr. Fisher, an unlikely hero from Pittsburgh who overcame antisemitic barriers to enter medical school, made revolutionary breakthroughs in cancer treatment. However, his success came with a tragic cost: a public, performative Congressional hearing that unfairly destroyed his reputation and haunted him until his death.

Through Less Radical, Dr. Wentworth will bring listeners into operating rooms, the halls of Congress, and research labs to explore Fisher’s profound impact on breast cancer patients worldwide.
