The June expert interview will be emailed to all registered for the discussion group. It is also available on our YouTube channel and The Triad Cancer Connection podcast. We invite you to join with our staff and other survivors for a discussion group online on the 4th Tuesday of the month.
Patient Advocate Award Winners 2023!
For 22 years, Cancer Services has been recognizing individuals in our community who “do anything, anytime and in any way they can to make a positive difference in the lives of those living with cancer”.
This year’s winners are:
Melissa Moore – Melissa is an exercise physiologist and CancerFITT coordinator for Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in High Point. Melissa epitomizes the meaning of excellent patient care and is always ready to help with passion and kindness.
Robin Atkinson – Robin is the Nurse Navigator for Gynecological Cancers at Novant Health Cancer Institute in Winston Salem. Robin’s dedication to her clients and their wellbeing is over and beyond in all that she does.
Fran Messick – Fran is our Community Patient Advocate award winner this year. Fran has dedicated countless hours volunteering for Cancer Services for over 15 years.
We, at Cancer Services, are grateful for the hours these three have dedicated to help us serve clients and loved ones. Congratulations Melissa, Robin and Fran!

Guys Night! This is an evening for men cancer patients/survivors to bring a friend and enjoy making something in the Sawtooth Art Studio. Men and their “plus one” can choose either woodworking or ceramics.
