Throughout 2026, Cancer Services will share an Empowered Living monthly topic and challenge designed to support your health, wellbeing, and survivorship journey.
- Complete the monthly challenge
- Earn an Empowered Living Sticker in your passport

- Read Dara’s January Empowered Living article and journal about what “taking charge” of your health means to you for this year.
- Attend one of Cancer Services, Inc’s monthly groups!
- Read The Cancer Dietitian’s nutrition myth busting February article: Carbs – A Common Sense Approach!
- Learn about nutritious treats by attending the Cook to Thrive! Survivorship Cooking Class on Feb 19th!
- Try out one of Novant’s free chair yoga classes! Click here for dates/times and links.

Each month we will email out options you have to complete the “Challenge”. Once you have completed it, just let us know at an event, or by phone or email and we’ll get you the sticker to put in your Empowered Living Passport!
Work on your passport throughout the year and in December we will celebrate our successes and you get an Empowered Living graduation gift!

Topic: Pocket Heart Hugs
A wellness group focused on healing through art in partnership with the Sawtooth School for Visual Arts.

Hirsch Wellness Network
Hirsch Wellness, located in Greensboro NC offers therapeutic arts and wellness programs to support the emotional and physical needs of cancer survivors, patients in treatment, and caregivers at no cost!
Hirsch offers:
Yoga classes with Triad Yoga, both in person and via Zoom.
Virtual Meditation classes with Ash Poirier.
Taiji Qigong on Mondays, both in person and via Zoom.
Online chair Qigong class with Bill.
