Patient Advocacy

Our Patient Advocate Team consists of professionals who can assess client needs and work with patients and families to address these needs.

A Patient Advocate, as defined by the National Cancer Institute, "is a person who helps a patient work with others who have an effect on the patient's health, including doctors, insurance companies, employers, case managers, and lawyers. A patient advocate helps resolve issues about health care, medical bills and job discrimination related to a patient's medical condition."

Our Patient Advocates also offer information and referral services to clients in order to connect them with financial, social and emotional services offered by our agency, as well as other local, state and national resources.  Information regarding these resources will be offered and referrals will be made as needs are identified.

Patient advocacy is an important component of this program, too. Clients are encouraged to contact the or call us at 760-9983.
