Cancer Services has programs at our office and partnerships with several agencies in the Triad area to support you in improving your well-being during and after cancer treatment. Listed below are some of the options available to you.
Livestrong® at the YMCA– This program is offered at most of the branches in the Triad. A 12 week program designed for those who have recently completed treatment, the Y offers trainers, educational sessions and a complimentary membership for you and your household.
Yoga Gallery Restorative Yoga-On Wednesdays at 4pm, the Yoga Gallery offers a class called Restorative Yoga. Cancer Services’ clients can attend the class for whatever donation you are comfortable with. Contact Lynn Felder for more information: 336-655-7047.
Sawtooth School for Visual Arts: Wellness through the Arts– The Sawtooth School has programs that can help you improve your well-being through art classes. Discounts are offered to Cancer Services’ clients and scholarships are available. For more information, call 336-760-9983.
Health Coaching by Phone– Wendy Kuhn is a health coach out of Chapel Hill who has partnered with our Wellness Director for education programs. She is willing to offer 2 complimentary health coaching sessions by phone for our clients. For more information, call 336-760-9983.
Parents Night Out at PURE Taekwondo Center– PURE Taekwondo Center hosts a Parents Night Out once a quarter and Cancer Services clients can attend at no charge. Dinner is provided for the kids and lots of games and fun activities are prepared. Call 336-760-9983 for the next day/time.
Parents Night Out at the YMCA– Local branches offer a fun evening for kids so that parents can take a break! Call 336-760-9983 for this month’s dates and to reserve a spot. No charge for Cancer Services’ clients.
